Wow! This hotel had one of the best views from the large lanai, and I loved sitting out there. However, there was a big roll of plastic sheeting in a corner, which was a bit odd, and there were a dozen leftover beers in the fridge from the previous guest. The patio could have been more comfortable with lounge chairs instead of just a small glass table and regular chairs.

Rooms

The room offered stunning views from the large lanai and was generally comfortable, but the presence of the plastic sheeting and leftover beers was a bit off-putting.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly overall, with convenient amenities nearby, but there were moments where staff interactions seemed unprofessional, like when one employee rolled her eyes and whispered to another while on the phone.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was superb, right on Kaanapali Beach with easy access to Whalers Village and Black Rock. Great for families and swimming.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience fell short with a limited menu and high prices, especially the USD32++ charge for just a few choices.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had decent facilities, but there were some areas that could use improvement, particularly around the patio comfort and room cleanliness.

7.0/10

I found the hotel to be conveniently located in the middle of the property, making it easy to access the restaurants, beach, and pool. The rooms had a basic motel feel with full-view mirrors on the bathroom doors and good lighting, but they weren't of a high standard.

Service
7.0
Despite the workers' strike, the service was nice and accommodating. The staff was kind and helpful, though it didn't meet my expectations.
Location
8.0
The location was so well manicured and tropical. While it was far superior to other Ka'anapali options and less expensive during the holiday season, there were some weird, tacky oversights.
Dining
6.0
The dining appeared to be in a makeshift meeting room with pipe and drape dividers, and the prices were on the higher side.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities had a lazy river approach and mini slide that were fun, but erosion from winter storms was affecting the coastline.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Although the room was in an older section and had a lingering smell of cigarettes, it felt cozy like home. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was impressive with full-view mirrors and good lighting. Luckily, my partial ocean view room turned out to be delightful.

Service
9.0
The service was top-notch, the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful, making my stay quite pleasant.
Location
9.0
The location was superb, offering beautiful surroundings and easy access to sights like Whalers Village and snorkeling near Black Rock. However, getting a lounge chair required early arrival.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was good, with quality food albeit a bit pricey. I enjoyed the fresh and healthy dishes, although the cost could add up quickly.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, including beautiful pools and manicured paths. However, securing a lounge chair could be challenging if you didn't arrive early enough.
